About Center for Jewish Philanthropy of Greater Phoenix

Our intent in bringing these two Jewish philanthropic organizations together is to enhance our combined strengths and resources to better serve our diverse Jewish community in the Valley.

CJP aims to put donor intent at the heart of philanthropy. We want to understand your Jewish interests and help you support the projects and programs you care about most.

We plan to develop deeper, more meaningful relationships with you so that we can best meet your philanthropic objectives.

Center for Jewish Philanthropy of Greater Phoenix's Programming

B’nai Tzedek Youth Philanthropy Program

Jewish teens from the Greater Phoenix area work with our professional team to establish a charitable endowment fund (typically using funds they receive upon becoming Bar/Bat/B’Mitzvah). Teens work with our team to both identify and name values that speak to them and then work to identify organizations whose work reflects those same values. Through grantmaking and hands-on service, teens are able to see the contributions they can make. The goal is to set them up with this life-long real-world giving tool that will help them invest in nonprofit work throughout their lifetime.

Center for Jewish Philanthropy Youth Board

Teens engage in a comprehensive strategic grantmaking process while learning what it means to serve on a community board of directors. Teens learn decision making theory and then begin to make collective decisions that include identifying values to inform their grantmaking, identifying an annual focus area, identifying potential grantees and selecting which proposals to fund.

Tikkun Olam Together

Engaging in meaningful service opportunities with a parent, developing a new social group with service and shared heritage at center.
