Explore

About the Program

Step out of your comfort zone and see Arizona like never before. Explore takes you across the state—from the Navajo Nation to Yuma—to discover how our most pressing issues impact rural, urban, and Native communities differently. By building deep connections in every corner of Arizona, you’ll expand your perspective and join a statewide network of leaders committed to our collective future.

Expand Your Perspective. Deepen Your Roots. Most of us only see a small slice of Arizona, but to lead our state effectively, you have to understand the whole picture. Explore is a unique immersive program that takes participants beyond their own neighborhoods to witness firsthand how challenges and opportunities vary across our diverse landscape.

What to Expect:

  • A Statewide Journey: Travel to diverse destinations like Nogales, South Phoenix, Buckeye, and the Gila River Indian Community to engage with local leaders and residents.
  • Deep-Dive Learning: Move past the surface level to understand the complexity of Arizona’s most urgent issues as they show up in suburban, rural, and tribal contexts.
  • Lasting Connections: Use the time and space during travel to forge powerful relationships with a cohort of fellow leaders who are as passionate about Arizona as you are.
