Mission and goals: Develop students who are ready to succeed in today’s world.
At City our staff and all valued and we are encouraged to participate, put ideas on the table for how to solve issues, and engage in decision making. For our students we are very focused on building relationships with students to help build their self-worth. We encourage them to do things outside of their comfort zone to push them and teach them about ways to engage with each other and find common ground even when perspectives are different. Building civic literacy is a focus of our school.
PXU City is a flexible high school experience where the city becomes your classroom. You can earn credits online or in person from any Phoenix Union campus, and you’ll work with your counselor to build a schedule that fits your life—whether that means starting later, working a job, or taking classes on weekends.
PXU City gives you the freedom to learn on your terms, while still being part of clubs, sports, and activities across the district. You’ll also get support like a laptop, meals, transportation, and more to help you succeed in school and beyond.
